The ministry of the Life Group is orchestrated in one of two ways. One: Whirlwind Ministries International co-partners with existing Churches or Ministries that desire a para-church ministry to bring additional teaching and training that will assist with the spiritual growth of the congregation. Two: The Life Group is a planting by Whirlwind Ministries, and the leaders are facilitating the Life Groups under the leadership of Pastors Roy and Lorelei Harris. These groups are either home meetings with facilitators, or Whirlwind Ministries Home Churches. The groups are being made available to people who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness, who desire to Know and Live the Word of God, and to Grow up into Mature Christians. The Life Group will provide a foundation of teaching and training to those who attend to become fully furnished and equipped to live a productive, victorious abundant life in the Lord Jesus Christ. The desired outcome is to make disciples who will manifest the Kingdom of God in their daily lives. The opportunity to Worship in the Spirit and in Truth is present in the groups as well as the place provided for practicing the Presence of God. This time of Waiting on the Lord, also called Soaking in the Spirit, is to establish intimacy with the Spirit of God, to learn to hear the voice of the Lord as an individual, and to establish a relationship of obedience to the Word of God. The fellowship following the meetings builds relationships, friendships and strength in the community. |
Everyone needs to continually grow and to be built on a firm foundation. Spiritual growth takes a continual commitment on the part of every individual. Just like keeping your body fit and healthy, it is important to make a continual effort to get the desired results. Many times this takes a commitment to a trainer or nutritionist to keep you accountable for being consistent.
This type of commitment is also necessary for continual Spiritual growth. Benefit one: By meeting regularly and committing your time for the Word and Spirit you will grow from Faith to Faith and Glory to Glory. The training you receive at the Life Group is designed to build a proper foundation and then take you step by step into advancing the Kingdom of God in your life. It is also designed to bring you into deeper intimacy with the Lrod and to live a victorious life. Benefit two: You will be meeting regularly with those of like heart and mind. The relationships built at Life Group will also be a support group for you as your are growing spiritually. Benefit three: You will be invited to functions and gatherings for fellowship set forth by the facilitator of your Life Group, therefore finding new friends. Benefit four: You will be included in additional training and support by Pastors Roy and Lorelei Harris.
